Plain-spoken media personality, DJ Slim has descended heavily on Asakaa Boys for their growing disrespect for traditional media in Kumasi.
The group that emerged on the wings of social media has on the regular been seen to sideline traditional media in Kumasi since breaking through into mainstream Ghana music.
With a quick reference to their recent brouhaha with Kumasi based YFM over an event flier, a new development at Jay Bhad’s Okomfo Anokye listening has got DJ Slim finally speaking to issues.

According to the DJ who was billed for the event, he couldn’t hide his disappointment upon reaching the location, and hence made a detour back home owe to the fact that no media personality in the Garden City was in attendance and his presence will be seen as condoning an unhealthy narrative.
The Deejay who sees these developments as a conscious effort to disrespect media firms and personalities has confronted Asakaa boys in an on air submission with few words: don’t disrespect Kumasi media ecosystem, we don’t need your affiliation.
