
The 2025 Ghana Comedy Awards lit up the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra with laughter, cheers, and unforgettable moments as Ghana’s top comedic talents were honored in a night dedicated to celebrating humor and creativity.
From stand-up comedians to skit creators and comedy actors, the awards showcased the diverse talent powering the country’s growing comedy scene. Lekzy Decomic walked away as the biggest winner of the night, grabbing both Comedian of the Year and Comic MC/Orator of the Year. OB Amponsah also impressed with multiple wins, including Stand-Up Comedian of the Year and Comedy Special of the Year for OB Live at Bukom Boxing Arena.
Jeffery Nortey proved to be a fan favorite and industry standout, securing three wins for Best Comedy Skit, Comedy Actor of the Year, and Comic Collaboration of the Year alongside veteran actress Kalsoum Sinare.
The awards also highlighted rising stars like Kwame Obed, who claimed the Next Rated Comic Act title, and Opoku Bilson as Comic Discovery of the Year. Female talents were not left out, with Jacinta Ocansey named Female Comedian of the Year and Vivian Jill Lawrence winning Comedy Actress of the Year.
