Phrimpong Teams Up with Kyei Nwom for “Dear Crush” Video

Rapper and special educator, Phrimpong has released the official video for Dear Crush, a piano and horn-driven RnB track originally featured on his 2019 project, The Salary EP. The video arrives ahead of Valentine’s Day, revisiting the song’s romantic and reflective theme.
Dear Crush is structured as a letter to a love interest, centred on admiration, vulnerability, and emotional restraint. The lyrics capture the hesitation and shyness involved in confessing affection, with the narrator expressing praise for his crush’s beauty and intelligence while wrestling with self-doubt and uncertainty about whether his feelings would be returned.
The song features vocalist Kyei Nwom, whose hook and chorus complement Phrimpong’s rap verses. Production was handled by Apya, maintaining a blend of rap and contemporary RnB elements.
Directed by Cute Visuals, the video adopts a warm, red-toned setting consistent with its Valentine theme. It features a young woman identified as Siri, a model with Down syndrome, as the central figure. Her presence adds a layer of representation and inclusivity to the visual narrative.
