Lil Win Wins Best African Actor Ghana-Nigeria at 10th Sotigui Awards

Renowned Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known widely as Lil Win, has been named Best African Actor Ghana/Nigeria at the 10th Sotigui Awards in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The recognition highlights his performance in the film Captain Ibrahim Traore, directed by Jackson K. Bentum.
The film, which portrays the story of a notable Burkinabe military figure, has received attention for its historical portrayal and strong production quality. This year’s Sotigui Awards brought together filmmakers and industry professionals from across Africa for the annual celebration held at Hotel du Roi.
Lil Win expressed appreciation to the organizers, director Jackson K. Bentum, and the full production team while receiving the award. His acknowledgment reflected the collaborative effort behind the film.
Captain Ibrahim Traore has also been selected for screening at upcoming international festivals, including FESPACO, where it is expected to attract industry attention.
