The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today hold its presidential primaries to elect a flagbearer who will represent the party in the 2020 general election.
The election will take place in all the constituencies nationwide under the supervision of the Electoral Commission.
The seven aspirants who will be battling it out for the flagbearership slot are former President John Dramani Mahama, the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin; former Vice Chancellor of University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alabi, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Mr Sylvester Mensah, former Minister of Trade, Ekwow Spio Garbrah, businessman, Nurudeen Iddrisu and NDC stalwart, Goosie Tanoh.
Almost 280,000 delegates of the NDC are expected to cast their ballot in the election.
