Arguably the most discussed Ghanaian rapper in recent times, Derrick Frimpong Manso, stage named Phrimpong, has shared his excitement on seeing Kumasi music getting noticed.
To him, there have been many talented musicians in Kumasi working assiduously to make impact over the years, and living these times to see such fulfilling moments has ever been what he longed for.
The rapper after his excitement was quick to address a challenge that could stifle their gains. “There’s no time to rest, people expect more and rightly so deserves the best to consolidate our gains. We need more collaborative input and versatility to keep the spotlight on us” – Phrimpong.
His comment comes after getting quizzed on his thoughts about the Kumerican wave and the way forward, in an interview on Agyenkwa FM‘s Extra Show during a radio tour for “Ohia” in Kumasi.
