Amerado releases the star-studded 10-track GINA Album – Listen
Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, the Ghanaian music and song writer well-known as Amerado has finally released the awaited G.I.N.A album.
God is Never Asleep (G.I.N.A) is a 10-track album with major features, both in Ghana and the diaspora. Artiste including S1mba, Efya, Fameye, Laioung, Lasmid, Eno Barony, Gidochi, and Epixode made dignified contributions to see to the realisation of this body of work.
Two tracks from the album Back To Sender and Grace, that were released a few weeks ago have received over 10 million streams across all digital streaming services.
Nyame Dada, No Stress, Got You, Pay Me, 666, Black Change, You Are The One, and Ha Ha Ha are the 8 unheard-of songs making the complete album list.
The album, according to Amerado, has seen the introduction of a new genre called Afrorap.
“While we acknowledge that Afropop has set the pace, I am confident that the launch of the African rap subgenre known as Afrorap can perform enormously well on the international market. Afrorap, like Afrobeats and Afrodance, is simply rap combined with Afro” according to Amerado.
