Gospel musicians Simon Kumangye and Odehyieba Priscilla have released a tribute performance in honour of the late Yaw Sarpong and Maame Tiwaa.
The ten-minute performance is structured as a mashup of songs associated with the duo, including Elshadai, Wo Haw Ne Sɛn, Biribiara Nyɛ Dɛn, Tenabea Foforo, Joseph, Honhom Kronkron, Awurade Na Aye and Oko Yi.
Rather than replicating the original recordings, the performers present a contemporary reinterpretation while maintaining their individual vocal identity. The arrangement is driven by smooth transitions between songs, allowing the medley to progress cohesively across multiple compositions.
The performance is marked by controlled vocal delivery, consistent instrumentation, and a structured backing arrangement that remains balanced throughout. The coordination between both artistes reflects a deliberate and rehearsed approach to the mashup.
The video production by Opticx Photography adopts a clean outdoor, yet cultural setting, with a visual presentation that complements the musical direction.
