The Ministry of Health Ghana has announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment exercise for health professionals, effective 16 April 2026, following the granting of financial clearance.
According to a press release signed by spokesperson Tony Goodman, the recruitment process will be decentralised and conducted at the district level, based on verified vacancies. The Ministry indicated that the exercise will follow a competitive and transparent process, guided by an approved quota system across all cadres and year groups.
The statement further noted that all recruitments will be undertaken within approved budgetary limits. Qualified health professionals have been advised to monitor official Ministry and district health administration channels for vacancy announcements and application guidelines.
Applicants are also encouraged to prepare the necessary documentation and credentials ahead of the rollout. The financial clearance granted for the exercise remains valid until 31 December 2026, within which all recruitment activities are expected to be completed.
The Ministry urged eligible professionals to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to healthcare delivery across the country.
